Teach English

To teach English we require you to stay for at least 2 months.
If you wish, it’s possible to teach the children IT skills too.

 If you:

• Speak English
• Are not afraid of speaking in front of a class
• Want to experience Khmer culture in the warmest and most loving environment 

Then we would be so glad to have you here!

Your tasks here would consist of giving English class four times a day to small groups (45 min per class)
Computer class would be 2 times a week (45 min per class)

Ultimately, we hope you will listen, play and care for the children, as your presence there is very important to them. 

Administration

Administration work can consist of (according to your skills or/and wishes): 

• Fundraising
• Applying for grants
• Website content
• Newsletter
• Photography
• Social media and communication

We require you to stay for at least 3 weeks.

Volunteers at all levels of the organization are important, and if you have any special skills or interests, we would be happy to accommodate them.

Additionally, no professional experience is required for the position, all we ask for is flexibility, dedication, and a positive attitude!

Volunteers are considered part of our family and are indispensable to us. We can assure you that Bright Hope Cambodia is a safe and welcoming place for you to volunteer.

BHC team: 
BHC was developed by former European volunteers, in partnership with local, Khmer professionals. As a volunteer, you will work closely with both the Executive and Program Directors – both of whom speak very good English.

Several caregivers take care of the children 24/7. Their English may be limited, but they are incredibly warm and welcoming individuals, who will be happy to introduce you to a variety of traditional Khmer dishes. The caregivers will be happy to care for you also. Consider it an experience – a good one!

If you are concerned about being contaminated by HIV, we kindly advise you to look here, to assure you that there is no need to worry.

Accommodation: 
You will be living at  STAR Kampuchea. This is a volunteer house that can accommodate up to 45 volunteers. You will have all 3 meals included during your stay at the house, and it is easy to get from the volunteer house to BHC.
